The Crucial T705 4 TB SSD (CT4000T705SSD3) is a high-performance, next-generation storage solution built to harness PCIe Gen 5 speeds. With a PCIe 5.0 ×4, NVMe 2.0 interface, it can achieve blazing sequential read speeds of up to 14,100 MB/s and write speeds of 12,600 MB/s.

It uses Micron’s 232-layer 3D TLC NAND for excellent density and reliability.  The drive is rated for 2,400 TBW (Total Bytes Written), making it suitable for very heavy workloads.

This particular SKU is the non-heatsink version. While it does not come with a pre-installed heatsink, Crucial recommends using a motherboard or third-party heatsink to maintain optimal thermal performance. Despite being a Gen 5 SSD, the T705 is backward compatible with PCIe 4.0 and 3.0, allowing use in older systems.
