The StarTech DP2DVID2 adapter converts a DisplayPort output from a PC, laptop, or workstation into a DVI-D signal — allowing you to connect older DVI-only monitors, projectors, or displays directly to DisplayPort sources. Because it uses an active converter (not just a passive pass-through), it works even if your graphics card does not support DP++ / dual-mode output. It’s USB-powered, plug-and-play (no driver required), and supports high-resolution DVI-D monitors — making it a useful bridge between modern GPUs and legacy displays.
