The Crucial T705 2 TB (model CT2000T705SSD3) is a next-gen high-performance SSD built for PCIe 5.0 systems. With a PCIe Gen 5 ×4, NVMe 2.0 interface, it reaches incredibly high sequential read speeds of up to 14,500 MB/s and write speeds up to 12,700 MB/s

This 2 TB model uses Micron’s 232-layer 3D TLC NAND, giving it both high capacity and endurance. Its random I/O performance is also very strong, with 1,550K IOPS (read) and 1,800K IOPS (write) as per Crucial’s spec sheet.

It has a very high endurance rating of 1,200 TBW, giving confidence for long-term usage under heavy workloads.  The form factor is M.2 2280, and this particular SKU comes without a heatsink — Crucial recommends using a motherboard heatsink or alternative thermal solution.

The T705 is compatible with PCIe Gen 3 and Gen 4 systems as well, offering great flexibility for users upgrading from older platforms.  It’s backed by a 5-year limited warranty.
