The StarTech DVI2VGAE is an active DVI-D to VGA adapter converter cable. It allows a device with a digital DVI-D output (like a desktop or laptop) to connect to a VGA-only monitor or projector. This is useful when you want to reuse older VGA-range displays without upgrading them, or need to connect to a projector/display that supports only VGA. The adapter includes a DVI-D male connector, a VGA female output, and a Micro-USB port for auxiliary power — ensuring compatibility even if the source DVI port cannot supply enough signal power on its own.
